Organizations of all kinds now rarely conduct all aspects of their business within the confines of their own national borders. The forces of globalization are making business operations increasingly international rather than national in scope. Operations managers have to learn how to adapt to the requirements of managing across many different border, time-zones, cultures and language. (David Barnes)
